Hi, I’m Alk, the one responsible for all of this.
So, what’s this Let’s Voice Project? Simply put, this is just another Japanese voice acting project, mainly in the form of game fan dub, by non-Japanese speakers.
It started from a pilot project that I organized in 2025, the 8th Alice fan dub. I had been wanting to organize a JVA project like that since long time ago, but only recently I got into a JVA community. I got to know some people there and I thought it was the time to finally do it, maybe some will be interested in joining. Two or three people would be enough for a starter, so I opened up a recruitment form and was prepared to wait probably a few days or a week.
I checked again in few hours and there were already three people filled the form. They all passed my selection criteria so I just closed the recruitment form. Didn’t even need to wait for a day. So we started the production. Long story short, we finished the project with 5 casts, including me, to voice the total of 12 roles.
At first I didn’t expect much. I just wanted to do some voice acting with friends and I was hoping I could just join people’s project so I could just do the voice acting part and skip everything else. But nobody seems to organize any JVA project, or maybe they do but just didn’t invite me, so I guess I need to organize it myself. Yeah, I can quickly put together the recording and add video on top of it.
Then I got the recording from the casts, and everyone was so good! I could tell that they put their heart into it, so no way I’m gonna just wing it. Few parts in, I found myself enjoying the process, putting together everyone’s voice and shaping the end product myself. Turns out that I also like hearing my friends’ good Japanese voice acting and some times I wished that they could voice more characters, especially the challenging ones.
And here I am, with this Let’s Voice Project.
